Bombardier CRJ700 Simulator

The Bombardier CRJ700 simulator holds an important role in training pilots for the CRJ700 type rating. One of the main builders / providers of a CRJ700 simulator is CAE. CAE was the original provider of the Bombardier CRJ700 Simulator. CAE's CRJ700 simulator is used by Bombardier and airlines like Lufthansa to provide training for the CRJ700 jet. The simulator accurately simulates the CRJ700's avionics systems and includes replicas of the following systems: Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4, Rockwell Collins 4200 FMS, Rockwell Collins Flight Dynamics HGS-2100 Head Up Guidance and the Rockwell Collins TCAS II Rev. 7. This Bombardier CRJ700 simulator is approved to Level D certification, the highest available certification. The first CRJ700 simulator was delivered to Bombardier's training center in 2000

CAE uses it's Troops visual system for scenery that includes using commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) graphics processors and lightweight and high-resolution Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) projectors. Most of the CRJ700 simulators have an instructor operator station and non simulated area for watching the training.
